Hi all aussies (or anyone else that has knowlage in Australian Workplace and aggrements) out there. I have just started a new job. I was talking to the payroll lady and she said that leave loading is 17% on the "award wage" NOT 17% on the paid wage (as I am being paid above award wage).

I know that this is not true. But can anyone please guide my to a website or refence that would have this in writting for me to print out and take to work to show her.

I don't want to cause a huge issue - but I do not want to be ripped off either.

  1. Try this.

    Hope it helps

  2. You're lucky to be getting loading at all!  I haven't worked for anyone who has done leave loading for at least 10 years.

That being the case, I think the loading should be on your salary, not the award.  But that's just what I think, not what the law is.

When it comes down to it, it's an agreement between you and your employer, so whatever you signed when you joined the company is what you get.

The sites suggested above should help.
