Australians are still in no mood to come and play in Pakistan – Ehsan Mani
The former President of International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ehsan-Mani-c55791, has claimed that the Australian cricket board is still reluctant in sending its players to Pakistan, keeping in view the continuously plunging law and order situation of the country.
"I recently met with an Australian diplomat and he said the same thing the Australians are still in no mood to come and play in Pakistan as they feel there is no improvement in the security situation in the country," said the former ICC President while talking to the media reporters on Sunday.
Mani appreciated the efforts of the newly appointed Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman, Zaka http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ashraf-c46397, to bring International cricket back to Pakistan. However, he said that it would take some time before it could actually happen.
In the past http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 has toured Pakistan eight times for Test series, with a win loss ratio of 2 to 5, while the 1964-65 Test series had ended in a draw. Their last tour of Pakistan was in 1998-99 and they have not visited Pakistan since then, due to security concerns.

The militant attacks on the on-tour Sri Lanka cricket team in March 2009 further worsened the situation. Six members of the visiting team were injured while six Pakistan policemen and two civilians were killed.
