Do you get saturday and sunday off from school? or do you just get the two week "holiday" between each term?

We always get Saturday and Sunday off plus we have a 6 week Christmas holiday and 3 two week holidays between terms.

All Australian schools (Public and Private) operate on weekdays only.   Weekends are always your own.   We also have about two weeks between terms and nearly a month at the end of year from Christmas into January for the Summer holidays.   (Remember our seasons are reverse to the Northern hemisphere).

All the school's in the country get weekends off, my school gets 2 months of at christmas though (I go to a private so we get longer holidays)
