Australia’s Michael Clarke expects slow turning tracks in Bangladesh - Cricket Update
Australia’s newly appointed skipper Michael Clarke expects that they will get slow and turning tracks in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747. The team will travel to Bangladesh for a three match series which will begin from 7 April in a warm-up match, as the first match of the series
will be played on 9 April at Dhaka.
The man who took the captaincy from Ricky Ponting asserts that conditions will favour the Bangladeshi team. The captain is anticipates a competitive series against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bengal-c771 Tigers in their home ground, as they have some good quality spinners who can exploit
the favourable conditions to good use.
The 30-year-old cricketer fears that left-arm spinners of Bangladesh will cause trouble to the Australian batting line-up, which consists mostly of right-hand batsmen.
“I'd imagine they'll prepare pretty slow, turning wickets and they've got some very good spinners, especially left-arm orthodox spinners which, with a lot of right handed batters in our line-up, are going to be quite tough. But it's going to be a good challenge
and we're looking forward to it," said Clarke.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Clarke-c51120 will be leading the team for the first time as full-time captain. Previously, he has led the side as stand-in captain for Ponting, who was out due to injury.
The captain believes that it will take some time to get used to captaining the side and is optimistic that the upcoming tour will help him to adjust. He concluded that Australian players will also have to get used to his style of captaincy, which according
to the right-hand batsman is different from his predecessor.
He believes in giving every player freedom to play their natural style. The cricketer has ascertained that he will provide such an environment for players where they will perform at their level best. Clarke is not focusing much into the future, as he is
targeting this series and wants to begin his reign as the Aussie leader by winning this series. The cricketer is happy with the break that they will get after the series.
Clarke said, “We're fortunate that we have these three one-dayers now and then we get a good break back at home, so it's allowed me to just focus on these three one-dayers and not look too far ahead (or) think about changes that I feel might need to be made.”
Clarke has a cordial relationship with the former skipper and is confident that both of them will work together for the betterment of Australian cricket. He commented that he and Ponting have always followed the same goal and that is to win every game for
their country. Clarke is not concerned about who is leading the side what matters is that the result comes in Australia’s favour.
