Australia’s Robert Douglass and Nicole Douglass regain lead at Tasar World Championships: Day 3
Tremendous display of sailing brought Australia’s Robert Douglass and Nicole Douglass on top of the podium again at the end of Day 3 of 2011 Tasar World Championships, in Torbay, United Kingdom. The Aussies grabbed 19 points after a total of nine races and two discards.
Weather conditions at Torbay were quite ideal for a superb sail on Day 3 and the Australians took good advantage of this forecast. They produced a superb sail to clinch the lead again after a first, sixth and second place at the end of Day 3.
Current world champions, Robert and Nicole, are currently on top with 19 points. With just a two-point difference, their compatriots, Paul Ridgway and Bronwyn Ridgway finished on second place with 19 points while another Australian team comprising of Craig Mcphee and Gillian Berry finished third with 25 points at the end of Day 3.
