how did he take food and clothes etc to the cellar where he kept his children.for 24 years.. without his wife knowing..

and if he had died , they would all have perished down there.. and no one would ever have known about them....

sorry.. but i can't grasp..how, she didn't know...

I find it very hard to believe that she didn't know her daughter was down there, or at least suspect something. It is difficult to say as not all the facts are known yet, but I did read somewhere that he was a very austere and controlling man and she may have been scared, who knows. But in all these years she must have noticed him spending time down there and taking food and clothes etc and she must at least have wondered what he was doing.

Apparently he had a history. She did know. She may have chosen not to want to know, but she knew. IMO she is just as evil as he is.

imo -The children he presented her with were presents from him.
