Austudy in thailand ?

hi i am 35, Australian and studying for my B.A in Bangkok can i get AUSTUDY while i am here ? its a full time course at a international uni ?

I doubt it, as the website says you must be studying an approved full-time course at an approved institution.  I can’t see what they describe as an ‘approved’ institution.  However, further into the site it says that if you study abroad then it must go towards your Australian academic qualifications.  One could presume that Austudy is only for study that counts towards an Australian course, which would rule out your full time course in Bangkok.

    All that said you should check out the website yourself and send them an email to get clarification.

    It sounds like a great gig if you can get it, but regardless, don’t let the lack of government assistance put you off your studies and especially if you are set on doing them in Thailand.
