  1. TRY THESE PLACES:-

    Asadal (Holborn)

    Young Bean

    Young Bin Kwan

    all in the city centre

  2. In the West End I can recommend 3 places, in order of expense they are;

    Arirang, on Poland Street, is casual and modestly priced, and very nice. I always have their Par Jeon (oyster pancake) and a range of pickles (Kim Chi, & a pickled bracken are very nice). They have a Bibimbab set, which is a spicy rice dish that is delicious and cheap. Or get a BBQ set and have it cooked at the table for you.

    There is a Korean place on Golden Square that I forget the name of, but they are reasonably priced and nice.

    Ran, is around the corner on Great Marlborough street, is flasher and slightly more expensive, but is nice for a treat. The decor & srevice is much nicer but the food is pretty similar quality.

  3. Myung Ga, on Kingly St, W1 (behind LIberty) is very nice. They will explain the menu to you - I like the barbecued pork - and last time I was there the set menu was £25 in the evening - it's much cheaper at lunchtime. Korean food features a lot of pickled vegetables, which are something of an acquired taste. Kimchee is a pickled cabbagy thing, and it can feautre killer chillis, so go carefully until you're sure you're man/woman enough for it...

    I'm told, although I haven't been, that New Malden, in South-east London suburbs, is THE place for excellent and authentic Korean food, as there is a big Korean community there. Jee Cee Neh, in Burlington Road, gets 5 stars from Time Out, but we haven't managed to get there yet.

  4. There's some in the area between TCR, Leicester Square and Oxford street - a couple of streets from TCR near the intersection of TCR and Oxford street.

    There are like three of them, almost next to each other.
