  1. Very nice.  What an adorable and happy boy.

  2. Hi.  I've worked with children with ASDs in the past and Thomas was absolutely wonderful on the video- hopefully one day he will show his friends that he was famous on YA!

Don't worry about the stares. Unfortunately children with autism were put in hospitals until the 1970s but society has evolved a bit now and seen they can be part of society.

Edit - I agree - he looks a very happy young lad.  You must be so proud!

  3. Just wanted to say that your video was great! Thomas seems like an active, happy boy. I understand what you must go through each day, as i have an 11 year old son with autism. I love my son to bits and wouldn't change him for anything! Over the years i have just got used to peoples ignorance, i try not to let it annoy me. Thanks for sharing your video with us, its always really encouraging to see other families coping with the same disability as we do. Keep up the good work!! :)

  4. People are ignorant and not to mention rude.  That was a lovely video, wishing you and Thomas all the very best.

  5. Thomas is such a blessing to you, I'm sure you know already.

He's beautiful and it's great that you're raising awareness by doing this. You're an inspiration, thank you.

  6. You're an inspiration.

  7. I never knew much about autism, but that did open my eyes. Thank you, it's nice to see what a happy boy he is as well.

  8. Thank you for the wonderful video and God bless you x

  9. He is such an adorable and happy boy. I too have a cousin with severe autism. He is semi-non verbal. He can hold a conversation but his parents didn't work with him enough like you obviously do.

  10. It is a truly moving video, and Thomas is beautiful.   I am reallly glad that you are sharing this with people.   So many people think that they have awareness, and I find that they don't, and only stop being rude once it is explained.  I have seriously thought about getting the business cards to hand out to people who are ignorant.  But I find in those situations that I am just so mad that I feel like shouting at all those people that stare, point, laugh, make snide comments under the breath but loud enough to hear, and those that are blatantly rude.  Also, I think your house looks like mine with the trampoline, sandbox, and pacifiers and every other sensory item that you can think of.
