I backed into a car and was driving with my permit what will happen?? I am allowed to be driving as long as someone over the age of 18 with a licience which there was. Also i was in my mom's car and i'm not covered on her insurance.....???

  1. If your a resident in your mother's home & just got your permit, you should still be covered under her auto insurance.

    As long as your not listed on the policy as an excluded driver !!  

    You should have been added to the policy as soon as you made your appointment for your permit.  A lot of people think it's when you actually get your license.  Have you mom call her insurance asap.

    ** Your an excluded driver???  If this is the case, your mother's insurance will not repair her car and they do have the option to decline repairs to the other party.  Then it may be the case the you'll have to pay out of pocket for both repairs or face a civil suit.  Dept. of Motor Vehicles may also step in & not allow you to get your drivers license!  FYI, granted your allowed to drive with someone over the age of 18, yet you cannot drive a vehicle where your excluded on the policy it's covered under.  Good Luck
