Auto accident, rear ended by a fast moving car, knocked into the car in front of me, taken by ambulance and was diag. w/misalignment of C4 and C5 in my neck - xray. Whiplash. Got an MRI a few days later I have L5-S1 Disc Herniation, protrusion with inferior migration of 4mm. Disc bulge at L4-L5 and Musculoligamentous sprain, spasm. Also, Disc bulges at C4-C5, C5-C6 and C6-C7 impinging on the thecal sac. I was 100% healthy before this. Mine (Geico) totaled my vehicle, the others Ins. (Allstate) says fixable $5000. The man who rear ended me was sighted for careless driving and at fault. (Geico) is not giving me the repl. value of my car and GAP Ins. is covering the rest. of my loan. I am out of a vehicle that I paid $8000 into, and I have no money to get another car. I'm in pain everyday since, I am this Wed. seeing a Spine specialist. My chiropractor hasn't given me a treatment yet, he's afraid he'll hurt me more. I'm afraid of Allstate after hearing about them. "What should I do?"

  1. Allstate sucks, and you are in no state to worry about driving anyway.  You should be suing for lost wages, not worrying about the replacement value of a car.

  2. Firstly, whatever you do, don't let a chiro touch you, all that whiplash action and jerking only wears out joints and worsens the condition, been there done that, as well, sounds like you have been fortunate enough to have gone this far w/out pain, the accident has unfortunately caused you to suffer, and find out that you have herniations etc at those regions, got hit myself two yrs ago, still in pain and fighting with Gov't Insurance, because I had a predisposition of a bad spine, fusion done back in 1990, best bet for you is legal advice, and don't listen to your Insurance agency, they will try every trick in the book to get you to drop any proceedings, go after them, for loss of wages, loss of quality of life, stress, pain a good Lawyer will help with all this.
