I have a Sony Handycam really old. i have a charger battery that hooks in and goes to a wall outlet, when i plug it in the recorder turns on briefly but turns off within 5 seconds. Im not sure what the problem is, but also the eject tray wont come out. i have a cassette in there and i cant get it out because the door wont open. The recording part is broken, so doing damage to get the tape out isnt a huge concern. im just trying to avoid that because i want to use the video recorder as a player to convert my 8mm tapes to VHS.

It was working as just a player for awhile but now it wont even stay on for 5 seconds...

someone help me please!
