Do the branches have their insurances? I'm going into the Air Force and my recruiter actually said they do and is cheaper. I just want to know more details about it if someone has the knowledge. Thank you

  1. Go with USAA. Their rates are unbeatable! Trust me...I work for State Farm and I'm saying this.

  2. The government does not provide personal auto insurance.  There are some private companies that cater to military members.

  3. I can vouch for USAA. We insure 2 vehicles, a 2004 and a 2001 for $88/month (neither of us have any speeding tickets, accidents, or other moving violations though)...and they take half out of our account on the mid month and eom check. Their customer service is GREAT. I had a flat tire on an offramp and they stayed on the phone until the police arrived to secure the area.

    Also, a good resource is...

    Best of luck to you.

  4. USAA  is an insurance company that specializes in providing insurance for members of the military.  The company is not owned by the military or a part of the military. However, insurance for members of the military is their niche market and in most states you have to be current or former military to get a policy with them.
