Auto Zooming Problem?

I have a Camcorder(Canon Elura 60). It sometimes zoom in automaticly. But when I turn it off and turn it on again, the "auto zoom" thing disappeared. Now, it zooms again. How can I fix this problem??

the best idea is to have it fixed by a canon rep/dealer.

i suppose there might be a problem with the contact point for the zoom lever, probably easily fixable, but i wouldn't recommend opening the cam yourself.

i know it's not much but hope it helps. :)
