All four passengers received minor injuries and the truck was totaled. We have collision, medical, and uninsured motorists coverage. Policy is under my name. One of the passengers has back pain and was told not to participate in any activities for the summer. Medical coverage is 5,000 per person. She had a MRI, saw a spine doctor, is missing work and college classes, and has yet to receive the ER/ambulance bill. This is not going to be enough. Am I responsible? The accident was cited as "hit and run felony". Witnesses saw the car in his lane. How about personal injury money to off set the medical expanses?

  1. You have no choice but to use your own insurance company.  They will try to find the other driver but it sounds as if that may not be successful.  Just let your own insurance company advise you as to the best course of action.  If you don't like their advice, hire a lawyer
