Auto dealers license ? Texas?

Question

i wanted to attend some auctions. for savings. how much can you save off retail. I know the costs and the comitments. road frontage signs etc.

i don't want to do retail just a way to help family and friends.

my ? is this on a 2006 0r 07 caddy dts that retails for 28000

how much can a guy save on this type of car.

avg milage 30,000

i know it depends on condition etc recond. just wondering if it's worth it. i Love cars

You can't get a dealers license in Texas unless you sell a certain number of cars a year (I think it's about 25).  It costs about $250 to get the license, and you have to buy a special computer program from the state to do VIN checks on the cars you sell. You also have to register with the Secretary of State.

You'd be better off talking to someone with a dealer's license and making a deal with them to buy the cars for you if you don't plan on going into business.
