Question:

Auto theft in Sacramento, CA?

I drive a sports car and I am moving to Sacramento. The place I am moving to does not have a garage, so I'll be parking in the driveway. The driveway is small, so it's pretty close to the sidewalk. I am afraid my car is going to get stolen. The stats of the neighborhood is around 6 auto thefts in 3 months. I plan on locking the car and using a car cover. The car has an alarm and the car is special type of key (I don't know the specific name for the key, but it's not the standard kind). What do you think? I'm I crazy to risk it? Let me know if you're from Sacramento. Thanks.

  1. I live in Sacramento. I wouldn't worry it about it, I never had a problem but things do happen sometimes

  2. With the alarm and the "transponder key" you will be fine....

These cars with the "transponder key" if not used will only allow the vehicle if stolen to drive around 1/4 of a mile and then shut off the engine "if " they got that far which I doubt..
