I need 4 lights on the sides of my bedroom. (Instead of the big old fashioned lamp in the middle of the ceiling) that looks techy and I need it to include a remote of something that will be able to turn on the lights, make them dim, and turn them off. Please help??? Where can I get this and what product do you recommend? THANKS

  1. I just use the dimmer switches with track lighting.  You can get rid of the ceiling light & use the electrical box to hook in the track.  Put the dimmer switch on your night stand.  I also have a light on my night stand that dims when you touch it.  And on another dimmer switch, I have 2 lights on a 2' track in the middle of my headboard that are also used for reading.

I use the 6' ceiling track to light the walls where I have art work & sculptures.  Also, candles can be used to set the mood if you're seeking something for a real rumpus room look.

There's also a device called the Clapper, that does not dim, & I didn't see it as something I'd want.
