Automatic Shutdown of my computer?

I am experiencing this for a week now, my computer automatically shuts down, I do receive a notice but I can't read it because like I said, It shuts down immediately, I wonder what could be the problem. I really need your help, Thanks a lot!

  1. could be 3 things, either power saving, a virus, of it has a hardware problem where its over heating and tripping, try the power saving first

    2)Command Prompt Window ll Open

    3)type

                shutdown -t ss

    ss is the seconds

    for example

    shutdown -t 10 ll shutdown ur computer after 10 seconds

  3. When does it shut down? Immediately after starting up? If you can, try running an online virus scanner (TrendMicro Housecall) or, when the computer shuts down, turn it on and rapidly press F8 until you get to a screen that has 'Safe mode with networking'   written on it. Select that and see if you can run the computer without it shutting down. Then if possible, run the online virus scanner as stated above. If that works, great, otherwise you will need a PC nutter to help you.
