Autumn is the original name for the season and is still used by most countries around the world.

It is pretty much only the USA that uses "Fall" to the name the season. I guess logic dictates it is the season when the leave fall from the trees.

Autumn is derived from latin roots, and Fall is leaf fall. I hope that was not too obvious.

Fall is an american word that has been used.

It's to do with the leaves falling off the trees.

Autumn is the correct english.
