Question:

Auxiliary monitor can't be detected.?

I like to watch videos on my tv that I have running on my computer. I use an S-video cord to accomplish the task. Recently my wife manually turned off the computer while I was watching a video and now the computer will not detect the tv. Does any one have any idea what may have gone wrong and how to fix the problem.

I have tried the obvious things (i.e., restarting the computer, disconnecting the tv from the computer, etc. with no luck.) I've also tried updating the drivers on my video card but that didn't help either.

Perhaps someone knows of a way to reset the video card?

  1. try unplugging your monitor from your computer, and only keeping your tv plugged in through the S-Video. Might work.
