hmm just maybe take a walk through the neighbourhood and look for signs? i´ve looked before but found it difficult but there are so many loctorios... what part of barcelona are you in?

yeah.  All over the place.  Spain is a highly industrialized nation.  You shouldn't have any trouble finding an internet cafe, or surely plenty of places to set up your laptop.

You can find the hot spot connections on line by finding a map of the area and asking for internet access cafes etc.
