  1. no problem at all to buy your ticket one day before departure.

  2. Train tickets for trips within Italy are usually available up to the time of departure. There are some exceptions though. During the Easter period, you would need reservations for most trains that accept them (no reservations on regional trains). Trains to Venice fill up during Carnevale, but there are usually a few seats available in first class. In September, the tourist season is past it's peak and there shouldn't be any problem at all.

You can use the Italian train web site to check schedules and prices and book tickets:

  3. O yes! There are no problems at all! I advise you to get there by train Eurostar which takes from Venice to Rome about six hours. it's a bit more expensive but it's much more confortable and you'll travel in a very good way! About the tickets there are no problems at all.. I live not far from Venice so I've done that way to get to Rome by train several times.. if you want to see prices and information go on this website www.trenitalia.it There you can find whatever you want about trains and also buy tickets online.

I wish you a safe and interesting journey!!!!!!!!!!!!
