Avast scan Limewire songs before downloading?

Question

I have the free Home Edition Avast AntiVirus and I was wondering if there was a way to scan a song on Limewire before I download it to make sure it doesn't contain any viruses? Thank you!

lol theres no need for that.. just make sure you download an MP3 file not EXE, and make sure its 3,000kb in size or higher and that it has information like artist and album on the information line... and when you search click on audio files.. you wont get a virus..

but do yourself a favor and get ares:

there arent any fake files on ares like limewire or viruses.. just click on AUDIO!!!

No there's no way to scan a song before you download it, but a tip is that you should never download the first songs that come up

Even the Internet Security that you pay for can only scan a song once it's started downloading, what normaly happens if it's a virus(normaly a Trojan with Limewire)is it will download & then stop halfway because Limewire will say it's corrupted, then your AV will delete the virus

DONT DOWNLOAD LIMEWIRE! dontdontdontttt i did and my computer got soooo messed up. virus's and it ran slow and pop ups and bad stuff. just dont download it unless you want to pay to get your computer fixed. get itunes cards, download off myspace, these two sites : mp3fusion.net, and yourmp3.net. just dont use limewire
