Avchd editing problems

hi guys. i recently bought a hd video camera by panasonic and want to edit movies. sony vegas pro 8.0 does not read the video files. how can i fix this. or maybe another editing software would be better. please help. thx in advance !

  1. Sony says Vegas Pro 8 does support AVCHD... It is possible that it does not support the Panasonic version of AVCHD. I would:

    1) Contact sony to confirm;

    2) Contact Panasonic for their suggestions.

    Pinnacle is a likely candidate.


  2. Have a look at the linked post in the Vegas forum.   I haven't tried it, but other Panasonic users have reported success with it.
