I'm on a budget but don't want my bike stolen. Is this a lock that is sturdy enough to fight off the thieves?

  1. sorry to say no bike lock is thieve proof. if the stealer want's your bike, he will getting no matter how many lock's you have and how good they are. they will always crack it open.

so don't count on a bike lock that is thieve proof.

on the other hand, good bike lock's make thieve's spend more time trying to open it.

so, keep in mind your not looking for the best solid what ever lock there is, you want a lock that is complicated/hard to open. (they will open it but i mean it take's them longer.)

to awnser your question, the Avenir integrated bike lock will be good for you if you have a cheap-medium priced bike and if you lock it in a pretty secure place. like i said, no bike lock is thieve proof but some take longer to brake then other's.

so my point is... i would get a bike lock that isent nessesarely big, strong and heavy, but look at what it's made out of. you know? steel is bigger and heavier then titanium, yet titanium is aloth stronger and lighweight then steel.. but more expensive. people go at bike store's and see this big heavy fat lock and think it's good, dosent mean it's big that it tought!  ask question's to the sell's man, it's free and it help's aloth
