Avent bottles and babies'r'us?

i have alot of AVENT bottles that i do not use. When my son was first born, we went through a few different bottles to see which ones works best for him. He did the best with the playtex drop ins...

My question is..can i return the avent bottles back to babies'r'us?? for store credit? The problem is, I took all the bottles out of the box and cleaned them (boiled them in water)..and tossed the box. Oh, and they're the ones that aren't BPA free also, so i really dont want to save them in case i want to use them later on...

what do you ladies think? can i just bring them in, in a bag and ask for store credit? Or am i just S.O.L.?

  1. They would consider them used.

However, you might have better luck on Craigslist!

  2. I think that once you open them and use them (even if it's just cleaning them) then you cannot return them especially if you do not have a receipt or the box.

You might be able to sell them on http://www.craigslist.com

If people buy used underwear I don't see why they wouldn't buy used bottles lol.

  3. Babies r us is taking them back with no receipt or box.  They give credit toward the purchase of the BPA free bottles.

  4. Probably SOL sad to say, but on something like used bottles even though you cleaned them, the stores can't re-sell, so i highly doubt they will take them back. You could always call the store and ask, but i doubt it.

  5. you could try but i highly doubt they'll take them. i mean, you've used them (boiled in water) and you don't have the box.

  6. Babies R Us is now starting a policy that you NEED a receipt when you want to return something. I really don't think they'd take them back since they're not in the boxes either. They wouldn't take them back just because of the BPA. BPA bottles weren't recalled so they really have no reason to take them back because of it. Sorry. My son LOVES Avent bottles.

  7. Unfortunately if they are not in their original package, they will not allow you to return them...Unless of course they are defective.

I suggest selling them on Ebay or Craigslist.  Resale value on Avent bottle are pretty good!

  8. If they officially recall them because of the BPA you might be able to, but as it is I doubt it.
