If you were to compare Avenue Q to a movie rating ( ex: pg 13, R) what would you give it? My friend who is the same age as me says she would give it PG 13, but I am not completely sure. I am going to see it with my family, my parents, my brother (age 16) and myself (age 15).

  1. I would say 14A (this is a canadian rating, I don't know the US equivalent but basically it means if you are under fourteen, you HAVE to be supervised by someone who is fourteen or older to watch it.

Maybe even 18A depending on what they do with the puppet s*x.

  2. It's at least a PG-13.

Look at the website for the show.

  3. I'd probably give it an R because a lot of it and the songs are very inappropriate  . My dad, a huge theatre fan, saw it, and he said he would never take me to in until I was much older (I'm 15 too) because he said it was too inappropriate. Just see the names of some of the songs, "It Sucks to Be Me", "If You Were g*y", "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist", "The Internet Is for p**n"  and one of the characters is named Lucy the ****.  Definitely not a family musical, and definitely not acceptable for 13 year olds. I guess if you're not that 'sheltered' it shouldn't be all that bad though.

  4. Most deffinatley R.

Songs about p**n, s*x, the language and content.
