Average 18-19 year old score?

Hey! I am 14 yearz old and have about a 5 handycap in arizona for 18 holes. I would say a pretty good highschool senior would shoot low 70's or even 60's if he wanted to get a scholorship. A ok highschool senior should shoot around low 40's for 9 holes and around low 80's or even high or mid 70's for 18. And all the other highschool seniors that arnt very good should be right around 80. I hope this helped!

Somebody like Tiger Woods, or Justin Rose at the age of 18-19 would be shooting under par.

I am 18 and nearly 19, I am playing off 16handicap and lowest I shoot is 8.

Age doesn't matter in golf so do not worry, everybody learns at their own pace.

But to answer your question it just depends how long you have been playing and how serious.

Tiger Woods etc started when he was about 2years old, he would of been playing off 0 handicap by 12years old.

Me however didnt take the game up untill I was 13, so in theory I have untill I am 23 to get to 0handicap.

Sooooo.............your average score can be anything, what you play too

It depends how long you've been playing for

and how many times you practice a week.

i know several people who plays golf and who area 18-19

and they are off mostly 2 or 3 =]

it really depends on how long you have been playing. you could be shooting low 70s or even in the 100s.

There's really no definite answer. I have some friends that shoot even par or better, some like me that shoot in the 70s, and some that struggle to break 90 and even 100.

It all depends on what the par of the course is and what type of golfer you are (casual, avid, beginner).

Normally an 18 hole course is around 70-72 and a nine hole course is around 36 par.

A casual golf will shoot about 5 to 10 over par

An avid everyday player will shoot just a couple over par or around par

A beginer starts around 10+

I do not know of any Data base that has compiled all of the scores for the demographics you request...thus there is not a statistical analysis available.

Thats an impossible question to answer. I think you should ask this:

What are the averages for a person who has been playing  for X number of years in Golf.

Im 15 and my handicap is 14 and my best is 2 over par.

Now that is better than some people that are over 20 years old and even over 30.

But that is also not the best. Some kids that are 12 are a 3-4 handicap like my friends little brother who has been playin since he was 2.
