Average IQ for 13 year old female?

I took some IQ tests and got 141, is that good or bad? My older brother got 125 but I'm not really sure how IQ tests work so...

141 puts you around the '2nd percentile' which means you are smarter than 98% of people.

If you could achieve the same score in a supervised test, you would be eligible for Mensa membership!

By definition, a score of 100 is considered average for IQ tests.  Higher scores mean you did better on the test.

But a lot depends on the test.  If you did one of the ones on the web, where it takes 15 minutes, and you answer 30-40 questions, they aren't worth much.  You need to take a standardized test, administered under controlled conditions, and scored by a trained scorer to get results you can trust.  Otherwise, there's too much room for error, and your score might vary by 30 points from what a worthwhile test would show.

Normal is 90-110.  The IQ test you most likely took is not a real IQ test.  Ask your school guidance counselor to take a real one.  The school district you live in may pay for 2 in your school career k-12.  A few names of the test generally given are WISC IV or the Stanford Benet.

141 is GENIUS. Seriously, the test you took is inaccurate. 125 is also a very high score. It is near impossible for a 13 year old to have an IQ of 141.

A score of 100 is the average. So you are above average. Age doesn't not play a role in your IQ score.

100 is average :) anything above 124 is "gifted" but remember, that online IQ tests are NEVER accurate. EVER. In REAL IQ tests a scientest watches you put together model airplanes, gives you shapes and colors and tells you to organize them, IQ has nothing to do with what you know. its how you figure stuff out and how you think.

If you want to get a real IQ test they are like over 100 bucks and they are kinda creepy, i took one, i was in a dimlighted room and  was told to sit in a chair for 10 minutes. they hooked me up to a machine to mesure my brain waves. lots of crazy stuff.. i "played" with building blocks (the kind with letters and numbers) and alot of other weird stuff.

the norm is set at 100 and as the previous person said age and s*x is immaterial. There are apparently various tests all with slightly different scales so you would need to know which one you took too see exactly how well you did. However, 141 is pretty good whatever.
