Average Starting Salaries?

Can anyone tell me what the average starting salary is for a chartered accountant, and what the average starting salary is for a qualified actuary?

In the states, an accountant with an associates degree starting out averages $12 hr.  Experience can increase that figure to $15 however, if you become a CPA (certified public accountant) on top of having a Bachelor's of Science degree, you can expect to start in the 40K range.  Go with a large firm in a large city and that can double - you are talking a long time to get there however and if you move from state to state, you may have to take your boards over again.

Well in my office the accountant is hourly and she is pretty experienced but they started her off at $13.50 per hour.  It might not be the same type of accountant as you but we are just a small medical office.
