Average commission rate?

I've been asked to sell a brand new product in Australia by an acquaintance of mine. I'm expected to find suppliers to import the product. I've been offered 10% commission on sales and I think this is much too low for the time and effort required.

What is the average commission rate for this type of job?? Are there any other issues I need to look out for?? Thanks!

Ten percent is about right. I had a 5 percent rate once. Watch out that they record it right. Sometimes the people have favorites especially in contests. And record others on things you should have gotten.
