Can someone please give me an average cost (for economy, but whatever is fine) for an airplane ticket (any air line) that goes from ABOUT coast to coast, for example, utah to Montana.

LOL... Utah to Montana is hardly coast to coast! Average cost varies between airlines and airports.

I've seen as much as $100 difference in Economy flight costs between 2 different airports in one city.
