Average cost to move from KY to NC?

Question

Moving from a 2 bedroom townhome aporox 1200 sqr ft to a similar size townhouse. From Sommerset KY to Wake Forest NC. Need the mover to pack everything up as well. Will not be moving a car. Moving in Sept.

There's a lot of free quotes online for movers, but when I moved from central CA to South Dakota WITH a car, the least expensive was $1700.  And they just left all your stuff wrapped in a HUGE box on the doorstep.  You are responsible for bringing it into the house.

I've found U-Haul to be the best way to go, as long as you have people to help pack/unpack.
