  1. Well Royal Mail is pretty unpredictable so probably 2-3days

  2. Fast delivery

We aim to deliver to European destinations within three working days and worldwide within five.

    Compensation cover

We provide compensation cover for the value of your item up to £36 in the event of loss or damage - ask for a Certificate of Posting at the Post Office™. Additional compensation cover up to £500 is available for more valuable packages via our Airsure® or International Signed For™ services.

If you’re sending a present or merchandise, take a look at Customs information.

    Sending Airmail

Send Airmail from over 14,000 Post Office™ branches and from Postboxes®, using stamps.

    Letters and postcards

You can send postcards and Letter items up to 2kg in weight via the Airmail Letter service.  A Letter item is anything that contains personalised correspondence.

    Small packets

This Airmail service offers you a cheaper rate if you’re sending gifts, goods or commercial samples. When using this service, please write ‘SMALL PACKET’ in the top left corner on the front of the item you are sending. You can also include a letter relating to the contents, but no other personalised correspondence.

    Printed Papers

With the Airmail Printed Papers service, you can get a cheaper rate when sending books, magazines, newspapers, leaflets and pamphlets abroad. You can include a letter relating to the contents, but no other personalised correspondence. When using this service, please write ‘PRINTED PAPERS’ in the top left corner on the front of the item you are sending.

    Packing and posting

When you’re sending items through the post, it’s important to wrap and pack them well to ensure they arrive securely and safely. See our wrapping guidelines.

Clearly addressing the item will also help us deliver it faster and more accurately. Learn more about our overseas addressing guidelines.

  3. Which part of Ireland?  North or South?

Royal Mail's first class can take up to 3 days from the UK to Northern Ireland.  Southern Ireland is about the same but as with all Royal Mail services, I'd allow 5 days before you start to worry.  Having read something this morning where a company doesn't regard its goods as having been lost by Royal Mail until they're 14 days late, it's anyone's guess how long it can take.

We use a courier to send packages to Ireland but things we trust to the post we usually expect to be there within 3 days
