Average of percent of Satisfaction???

50% of people are satisfied in a class of 10 people

80% in a class of 4 people.

what is the average percent of satisfaction

PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW TO DO IT!!!!

  1. first of all 80% of 4 =3.2 which is invalid

    you cannot have .2 people in a class--it must be a whole number!

    Second, lets say instead of 80% we have 75%. then 75% of 4 = 3, and 50%of 10 = 5. 3+5=8

    8 out of 14 people are satisfied. 8/14=.5714 or since you are using whole number %, 57%.

    but you used 80%. Even though the problem is not well defined, we will calculate it just the same but I wanted you to know why you couldnt correctly use that number. Anyway:

    80% of 4 =3.2

    50% of 10 = 5

    8.2/14= .5857 = 58.57% = approx 59%
