Average price of Yamaha Intermediate Flute?

I was looking to buy a yamaha intermediate flute but I obviously want to know the price of them.I can't seem to find it on there website. Any information is greatly appreciated, Thank you in advance.

Hi XX,

You have good taste in flutes if you are looking at the Yamaha .... and especially the intermediate levels.

I had a reason to look up the prices 2 days ago,  so I have an up-to-date answer for you.  

Also, I was checking with the international music store.. Woodwind and Brasswind  - WWBW.com -  1800.348-5003 and this is what their current prices are for the Yamaha intermediate or advanced;

Yamaha YFL 381 - with the specs following:

Sterling silver head.

Silver plated body, footjoint, mechanism/keys, lip plate

In-line G

Open Holes with removable plugs.

Bfoot with high C facilitator

Price:  $1094.00

Yamaha YFL 481 - with the specs following:

Sterling silver head, body and footjoint

Silver plated mechanism/keys and lip plate

White Gold Springs

In-line G

Open Holes with removable plugs

B foot with high C facilitator

Price:  $1657.00

Now the price will drop about $50.00 if you decide to buy the flute with a C foot joint but for only $50.00,  I would definately get the B foot.

Also,  you may not have been able to find prices on the Yamaha website because they do not sell directly to the public...  but to stores like the one I gave you information to.

Instead of doing business with them on the internet,  I would definitely call their 1800 number and talk to the flute specialist.  This will make your research more personal and you can ask any questions you like about the flute or perhaps any other flutes they might have.   Also,  WWBW is an old and reputable company that was in business long before there even was an internet.

YFL series flutes are around 500-600 euros at least here in Finland.
