  1. Salaries vary depending on many factors. To find more accurate salary data you can try www.bls.gov, monster.com ,salary.com or PayScale.com. You will find that jobs like these are negotiable when it comes to salary.More information, tips and help at http://moreaboutsalary.blogspot.com/

  2. If I was you I would contact the Arbeitsamt (office of unemployment) in the city where you would be working and ask them. They usually have a pretty good idea about what is being paid. They will also need to approve your employment contract if you apply for a work permit. They won't do so if the salary is a lot below average pay for a German with similar qualifications.

Munich is very expensive, so even if the salary looks very good compared to an offer from northern Germany you'll need it just to get by.

Standard benefits would be the mandatory statuory health insurance, around 26 days of paid vacation, a 13th and maybe 14th salary (essentially you get an end of the year and maybe a going on vacation bonus) and bunch of joint government and employer sponsored benefits.
