Average speed riding bicycles?

Hey, I'm trying to figure out how long it will take me to get around LA with bicycles.. I know - crazy.. but its only at the beggining until I buy a motorbike.

What is the average mp/h riding bicycles?

yea 12-15 is like average for riding on a MTB. If you got a road bike it would be even faster and easier.

12-15 is not too fast...on a road bike its not to fast...on a serious mountain bike...its sometimes tough My top speed on a flat road is 35 but only for a few seconds on my road bike, but my average speed is 17 when I look at my cyclometer. I ride long distances and my average goes down over time... so depending on how much experience you have...your trip might go faster. Also if your ridding around the city cars can get in the way along with pedestrians and stoplights so maybe find a different route than you would take driving.

Most people will ride at speeds of between 12 and 15 mph.
