  1. I wouldn't take a taxi all the way, you'll need to fight the traffic on Sukhumvit, Asoke and either Ratchadaphisik or Rama IX Rd. to get to Pracha Uthit Rd. and Meng Jai. It could easily take 45-60 minutes when traffic is heavy although it's only about 5 or 6 miles to Meng Jai from Nana. You can take the Skytrain from Nana to the Asoke station where you can transfer to the MRT Sukhumvit station and take the MRT to the Thailand Cultural Center stop and then taxi from there, this way will normally take about 30 minutes or a little more to the Regent's School or KIS School which are both within a few blocks from the Meng Jai intersection. If you live near the Saen Saeb canal, you can also take a canal boat to the Petchaburi MRT station and go to the Thailand Cultural Center from there which may be the fastest way if you live anywhere close to the canal.

  2. Depends on the time of day 40 minutes to 1 hour The BTS only goes partway E3 Nana to E8 On Nut is 25 Baht.  Then you have to get a taxi/tuk tuk and it depends on where you are going.

It might be easier to get a taxi and get on the motorway. With the way the traffic flows it could tak 30 minutes just to get on the motorway

Of course I don't disagree with Gerald, I was thinking "how is the BTS going to help since where you are going is actually in a different direction."
