  1. Well it is a subjective question...I don't know how strong you are or if your jump mechanics are correct.

To increase your vertical you can do a couple of things this summer. 1) Find some bleachers like at a football field and run up and walk down those several times a day or every other day. After two or three weeks try adding some weight to your workout. (Ankle weights or hand weights).

    2) If you can't find some bleachers...find a steep hill and do the same thing. Important note is that this is not running uphill but you need to simulate a jump motion. That is why bleachers are good for this. As you get stronger you can try to jump two steps at once and go faster.

    3) Calf extensions by hanging your feet off a step and rising and lowering will strengthen you calf muscles. You need to do 2 or 3 sets of 15 for all of these workouts to see some improvement in your vertical.

    Good Luck

  2. hmmm idk i would do a lot of weight lifting and running for strength and tehn just do some drills...do it slowly then increase your speed

  3. If you're athletic, you should try to get your vertical to at least 36 inches to be a really good player. I don't know what your vertical is now, so I can't guess. Like everyone else is saying Jump rope. Jumping on those plyometric boxes. Jump a lot. Jump with a weight vest on, stuff like that

  4. I don't know how high girls jump compared to boys but i'm guessing that if you don't jump at least 12 inches that you better get training and hard.

Skipping rope and running hills is a good start.

Try Plyometrics, basically you can start this with some stairs till you get the proper equipment.  So stand at the bottom of the stairs and jump onto the first stair jump down then with as little hesitation jump to the second stair then down and with no hestitation back to the third then down and up to the second then down and up to the first.

Continue this in reps of 5 or whatever your conditioning is able to allow you.
