Average weight gain for pregnant rat.

Question

What is an average weight gain (grams) for a pregnant rat? She weighed 160 g 2 days ago, 164 g yesterday, and now she weighs 172 g. I got her at a pet shop and I was wondering if she is pregnant, (she shows all the signs of pregnancy) and what a normal weight gain is. She is much larger than her cagemate. (Both sisters.) She didn't look pregnant when I got her, but the boys and girls were all in a cage together.

If she was housed with males at the store where you got her then you can nearly guarantee she will be pregnant - and if she is gaining this weight then she probably is.

Not sure on the total weight gain as there will be other factors involved, but pinky rats when they are born usually weight between 5 - 6 grams. So if she has 8 babies, theres 44 grams + milk development.
