  1. "For a free app, it's excellent."

    got to love this answer

    AVG is good

  2. it updates every 24 hours

it tells you if you have a virus on computer

it warns you if a site contains spyware/viruses etc.

and if you do have a virus on your pc then it will destroy it

  3. You should forget AVG 8 free edition it has a nice interface but is poor at blocking viruses so not worth using.

I've tested both Avast Home Edition (free) and AVG 8.0 (free), AVG let me save 75% of the test viruses to my hard drive only blocking 25% were as Avast blocked 75% of viruses, Avast picked up the other 25% of the viruses that were in zip files the second I tried to extract them.

I use Avast combined with Comodo Pro on my XP home computer and have no problems with virus's or spyware.

    Test them yourself: http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_fil...

  4. its one of the best free anti-viruses

  5. For a free app, it's excellent.

  6. Not too bad. Personally, you will find that people lean towards Avast, but AVG is right up there.

  7. eh. i would say use avast. but it is better to use Norton or McAfee they are relativity cheap and trustworthy. if you wan to find cheap anti virus try going here http://myvideogames2you.blogspot.com/200... thanks
