  1. 50

    meters HA

  2. Perpendicular??? When I went to school, if something was perpendicular, it was vertical!???

Well, 40 metres would be the answer.... 30 metres for the car, 50 metres from car to train, that's the hypotenuse of a right- angle triangle. The 3rd. side therefore, is 40 metres. The train is 40 metres from the crossing.

    Better stop.

  3. It is your typical 3-4-5 right triangle

30 meters for one leg, 50 meters for the hypotenuse, leaves 40 meters for the distance of the train to the intersection (the right angle)

  4. I don't know.  But when it comes to trains don't even consider s******g around, stop!  In a car vs. train accident the train will always win and you will always loose end of story.
