Avram Grant: I won't quit
West Ham United manager Avram Grant has said he has no intention of quitting the bottom of the Premier League table club.
West Ham has struggled so far this season and has managed only one win. There have been widespread rumours within the British press that Grant may up sticks and leave the whole mess for another manager
to sort out.
"I don't speak about myself, but I think what we are doing, with all due respect, is a good job.
I think we need to continue with the way we are playing and the wins will come. I have no intention of giving up," Grant told the
Newham Recorder.
Grant insists that West Ham has been unlucky through the season so far. He also insists that the standard in training is as high as he has ever seen and it will only be
a matter of time before West Ham's results start to get better.
West Ham has played some very good passing and moving football during matches this season. However, they have not got the break that teams need to turn a match into a winning
position.
"I think this is a very strange situation, because with one win in 13, you
could have said the football is not good and everything is not good," he added.
West Ham only needs two or three wins in a row and the club will move off the foot of the table and start climbing towards higher positions. Fortunately the club still has 25
games left to play this season and if the players keep improving, as Grant suggests, then regular wins are not too far away.
"But the players have developed 70 per cent and they are better month to month, so I don't know what to say to you because this is a fact," he said.
Betting advice
Grant is a very experienced boss who will know how to handle West Ham's current situation. Have a bet on the side being safe before the odds shorten dramatically with a few back
to back wins in the next few weeks.
