First of all we have to divide senior citizens into categories like literate senior citizens, illiterate senior citizens and those senior citizens which are dependent on their children for their health related matters.

Now according to it we have to select strategy.
We need enthusiastic and knowledgeable people to make them aware regarding first aid,

for illiterate people mock or dummy sessions need to be organized so that they can understand the importance of first aid.

Secondly participative and volunteered plays should be held regarding subject so that these people can participate in them and have a feel of it.

Obviously those people who are helping these senior citizens and illiterate need to understand their psychology and have to deal them as per their observations and need to soft spoken as it will take time and patience to make them aware.

Also local government hospitals and medical centers need to take initiative so that updated knowledge can be provided to these people.

government should introduce some small policies in rural areas related to first aid so that illiterate can act immediately and understand their health related requirements

local languages need to taken care of while delivering lessons to them and sapmle first aid kits need to be distribute free of cost and teach them to make first aid kit at least cost

I would go with posting up TV commercials, going door-to-door, setting up a booth in the mall… You should Google something like “marketing demographic, illiterate, senior citizens” to get an idea of how marketers market products to this demographic. Why come up with new ideas when there are already good existing ones? because there always is something new! Just get a mix of both.
