The VP of the Beijing Olympic Bid Committee said in 2001 that "by allowing Beijing to host the Games you will help in the development of human rights."

  2. Oh yes they have by kicking out old people from their homes to build those huge stadiums...I am convinced

  3. No.  The main development will be black lung disease in the athletes and spectators.

  6. I think it's a little early to tell ... but that seems like a lot to expect.

    It didn't exact do wonders for the Soviet people when Moscow had the games in 1980.
