and Phoenix Mercury outlasting Chicago Sky. Let`s round up the proceedings of the day.
1. Connecticut Sun versus Washington Mystics
Playing after a good rest of one week after their worst loss in franchise history, Connecticut Sun bounced back instantly to defeat Washington Mystics 77-64 making this their 7th win in the last 9 outings.
Asjha Jones recorded a double-double performance of 20 points and 11 rebounds while Tina Charles chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Mistie Mims came off the bench to shoot the ball 5 of 5 from the field and conjuring up
a season high 15 points along the way.
On the other hand, a 21 point effort from Monique Currie and 11 points from Crystal Langhorne were not enough to prevent the Mystics from losing their fifth straight game as they now fell to a win-loss record of 2-10.
2. Atlanta Dream versus Tulsa Shock
It took a double digit performance from five of Atlanta Dream players to manage their third straight win by defeating Tulsa Shock 102-92 at the BOK Center on Friday night.
Angel McCoughtry managed to record 24 points, Armintie Price added 19 points while Aneika Henry managed to muster up 14 points. The bench scoring was kept alive by Tiffany Hayes and Cathrine Kraayeveld who managed to get 15 and
11 points respectively.
Despite having six players making sizable contribution in the game, Tulsa`s effort in the game came well short in the end. Ivory Latta and Glory Johnson tried their best with 16 points each while rookie Riquna Williams added 15
points.
3. Phoenix Mercury versus Chicago Sky
In the third match of the night, Phoenix Mercury outlasted Chicago Sky 84-81 with much courtesy to a 27 point effort from DeWanna Bonner on Friday night at the Allstate Arena.
