Awesome places to live in the US?

Question

my mom wants to move and i am all for it. we live in New Jersey it's not that bad where i live but i would like to live somewhere else. i say california. my mom nver been there but says no because of the earthquakes what states do you like say whatever you like believe me i love to hear about them.

I quite like Madison, WI, Chapel Hill NC, Miami and Gainesville FL. I'm not from the US, don't even live there anymore...so probably not the best judge!

I live in New Jersey as well -- used to live in Paramus, and now I live in central NJ, and I love it here :)

I would loveee to live in Florida one day, it's always warm and it's beautiful. I've also heard that South Carolina is very nice, although I've never been there myself.

I grew up in California and it's so expensive to live there!  My choice would be Galveston, Texas. The weather is great year round, the economy is better for jobs than California. It's one of the top restaurant cities in the US and you can have Christmas dinner in shorts and flip flops. The people are friendly and not at all stuck up. California is full of me me me people. Yeah  I know I'll catch a lot of flack for this. But, trust me, the opinion is country wide.

I live in San Diego...I don't know what all the fuss is about. I hate the weather because it doesn't fluctuate much at all. We moved here from a tiny town in Washington State and I loved have four distinct Seasons. I love the fall with all the trees a lovely golden color, I love the snow...it's beautiful and Summer is nice because you've been waiting for it all year long.

I suggest the west coast somewhere either in Washington or Oregon. Love it there. I am a photographer and I love the drastic weather changes.
