Question:

Awkward much? How did I get myself into this situation?

My boyfriend has been out of town for a week and a mutual friend of ours (a guy) kept texting me today and asking to hang out. I told him yes because I didn't want to seem rude, but I think he has the wrong idea! We're supposed to hang out tomorrow, but I think that would be so inappropriate to do and I wouldn't want my boyfriend to know. What should I do? Should I just show up to hang out and bring one of my girl friends?! Ugh..

  1. Bringing another friend is a great idea.

  2. yeah just take a friend with you and make a day out of it.

  3. I get this all the time because i have a good friend who is a girl who has a boyfriend and we hang all the time. It just really depends on the boyfriend. If he would be cool with it in real life then it should be OK now. If it isn't, well just explain to the guy you want to hang with. Say that you really want to, but you feel kind of shady doing it without him knowing. He will understand, and probably agree to do something a little more social like go to a party or something.

  4. I agree with the others,  If you already feel guilty about it, then it's the wrong thing to do.  I would cancel, it might be embarrassing to you, or hard to do, but if you value your relationship, and honestly think this guy has the wrong idea, then it's probably not the right thing to be doing.

    Good luck!

  5. If you feel you have to keep this from your boyfriend you definitely should not hang out with this mutual friend, cancel! asap

  6. Uh dont hang out with him, and STOP hanging out with him. Guys are only friends with girls to get in their pants, if not now, then at some later date. He will probably try to get you drunk and then you'll both "make a mistake".

  7. take a girl friend or cancel on him
